“What we’re talking about here is not about acute affects,” Urvashi Rangan, senior scientist at Consumer Reports, told TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie. “We’re talking about chronic effects. We’re talking about cancer risk. And so, the fact that 10 percent of our samples exceeded the drinking water standard underscores the need for a standard to be set in juices.”

Carcinogenic Sugars Rampant Among Food Supply

How
much sugar does the average person consume? How does this affect their
health? Increasingly it is being recognized that the substantial level
of sugar consumption is responsible for many of the health issues the average person faces, including obesity, diabetes, and chronic lethal afflictions like cancer and heart disease.
Products and diets of today are overloaded on sugar, and its overbearing prevalence manifests in many different forms. Most soft drinks contain either sugar or mercury-filled high fructose corn syrup in copious amounts.
Even
so-called “healthy alternatives” are loaded up on sugar in many
instances. In fact, the sugar content of the product may deceive you.
The average snack product and the majority of fast food products contain grains or starches that break down into sugar when digested. Even more concerning is just how these products are pushed on unsuspecting consumers.
Candy is cunningly advertised to our children, while boasting the largest amounts of sugar. Nearly everywhere you look, a typical consumer-marketed food product contains some amount of sugar. It’s almost impossible to escape it in its myriad of forms, and the conventional artificial sweetener alternatives like aspartame and sucralose are even more unhealthy.
To make matters worse, a growing body of research has found fructose to be as addictive as cocaine.
Most people aren’t even satisfied when they consume these foods. The sweetness of a high sugar content food or drink often provides temporary energy, but no lasting satisfaction or nutritional intake. The body uses a large amount of energy and resources to properly process sugar, and the more you consume, the longer it be exerting this energy. This process may prevent your body from performing optimally, leading you to feel sluggish and tired when consuming sugar-laden foods with no real nutritional substance all day long.
The disturbing aspect is that if nothing changes, the rampant sugar consumption continues, and cumulatively begins bearing down on the wellness of an individual in the form of diseases like diabetes and cancer. Just how much sugar are you consuming on a daily basis? Keep in mind that the recommended amount of sugar to consume on a daily basis is 25g.
This is just a smidgeon of examples, but knowing that these foods are eaten daily and usually in large quantities illustrates the massive nature of sugar over consumption. It is no surprise that fructose has been noted as the number one source of calories in the average American’s diet. The average person is said to consume 1/3rd of a pound of sugar each day, which equates to over 150g of sugar- six times the recommended 25g.
The fact is that the average diet is absolutely teeming with unsafe quantities of sugar, and as they compound they will undoubtedly lead to disease and sickness. When you are consuming six times what is considered the safe amount of sugar, it cannot possibly end well.
Looking for healthier alternatives will not only help you to alleviate the many negative health effects of sugar over-consumption, but it will also cue you into the fact that a well thought out, nutritional plan will leave you much more satisfied than sugar-loaded processed foods.
Begin to limit your intake of sugar, even if it’s in small steps. Start with one less snack, or substituting a soft drink for water. Add less cream or sugar to your coffee. Replace candy and snacks with more fruits and vegetables. Be aware that even many products being marketed as health-promoting often contain a large amount of sugar. Make sure to check how much sugar is in whatever product you may be purchasing. And in order to keep the sweetness present in your favorite foods, add a little diabetes-crushing Stevia — a natural sweetener that is a great alternative to sugar.

CDC ADMITS NOT A SINGLE PERSON HAS DIED FROM CONSUMING RAW MILK PRODUCTS IN 11 YEARS
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) refuses to acknowledge that, based on all available statistics, raw milk produced on clean, small-scale farms is actually far safer than pasteurized milk from factory farms. But the agency did admit earlier this year, after being pressed and warned of a potential Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request if it failed to comply, that not a single person has died from raw milk consumption in over a decade.
This may come as a shock to some who, because of all the propaganda about the alleged dangers of raw milk, are convinced otherwise, but it is true -- one of the two deaths often cited by the CDC as evidence that raw milk is dangerous was actually linked to the consumption of raw queso fresco cheese, which is currently outlawed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). And the other is likely linked to an adulterated raw milk product as well, rather than to raw milk.
After repeatedly petitioning the CDC for clarification about its questionable raw milk statistics and getting nowhere, Mark McAfee, owner of Organic Pastures Dairy Company (OPDC) in California, finally threatened to file a FOIA request to get to the truth. Shortly thereafter, he received a response from an unidentified official at the CDC's information office explaining that the one "raw milk" death that occurred between 1998 and 2008 was actually linked to illegal raw queso fresco cheese.
The agency has not yet provided details about the other death, but it is likely that it, too, was linked to some adulterated raw milk product rather than to raw milk itself. If and when the agency finally fesses up to the truth about that case, it will also be inadvertently admitting that it has lied to the public for many years about the nature of raw milk.
The CDC's continual avoidance of talking about the much worse dangers associated with pasteurized milk further illustrates its raw milk bias. In 2006 alone, there were at least 1,300 people who got sick from pasteurized milk just in California -- and yet the CDC only talks about the roughly 39 reported illnesses every year in the Golden State that are alleged, but not necessarily proven to be, linked to raw milk.
To learn more about the safety of raw milk versus pasteurized milk, check out this FREE chapter from Dr. Ron Schmid's book The Untold Story of Milk: Green Pastures, Contented Cows and Raw Dairy Products: http://newtrendspublishing.com/PDFS...

Flu Shots Have More Than 250x EPA Mercury Safety Limit
Thimerosal is a widely used vaccine preservative that is present in
the majority of flu shots and other vaccines. Thimerosal is 49% mercury
by volume, an extremely toxic chemical element that wreaks havoc on the
nervous system, neurological function, and overall biological function
[1]. Each dose of flu vaccine contains around 25 micrograms of thimerosal, over 250 times the Environmental Protection Agency’s safety limit of exposure.
Mercury, a neurotoxin, is especially damaging to undeveloped brains. Considering that 25 micrograms of mercury is considered unsafe by the EPA for any human under 550 pounds, the devastating health effects of mercury on a developing fetus are truly concerning.
Though thimerasol is not entirely mercury, the mercury content is still extremely high, making it very toxic to the human body. Despite highly exceeding the EPA safety standards for mercury content by over 250 times, flu shots are still recommended for children over 6 months and pregnant women.

893 Turks die in major drug companies' experiments
The total number of world deaths caused by pharmaceutical experimentation runs as high as 120,000. The issue is reportedly caused by tight regulations in countries like the United States and England, which push the pharmaceutical companies to direct their studies to countries that have looser ethical and technical regulations.
Pfizer, Bristol Myers, PPD, Squibb, Amgen, Bayer, Eli Lilly, Quintiles, Merck, KGaA, Sanofi-Aventis and Wyeth are some of the known companies to conduct such experiments overseas.

Baxter, same company that unleashed tainted avian flu vaccines, recalls 300,000 flu vaccines for serious adverse reactions
Please avoid the flu vaccine, this happens every year and its just not worth it.
(NaturalNews) Baxter Healthcare Corp. has announced it is recalling roughly 300,000 doses of its Preflucel influenza vaccine due to what it says is an excessive number of adverse events. Baxter is the same drug company that was caught inserting Avian Flu Virus into flu vaccines back in 2009 (http://www.naturalnews.com/025760.html).
The UK'sDaily Mailreports that a high number of individuals injected with an apparently tainted batch of Preflucel have been reporting side effects like fatigue, muscle pain, and headaches. The vaccine, which was crafted specifically for those with egg allergies, has only been in use since March when it was first approved for use in the UK.
"The vaccine is being recalled because these side effects have been reported more frequently with this specific batch," said a Baxter spokesmen. This spokesman also attempted to reassure the public that those who have already been vaccinated with Preflucel "should not be concerned (for their safety)."

Tests Show Most Store Honey Isn't Honey
Ultra-filtering Removes Pollen, Hides Honey Origins
BY ANDREW SCHNEIDER | NOV 07, 2011
More than three-fourths of the honey sold in U.S. grocery stores isn't exactly what the bees produce, according to testing done exclusively for Food Safety News.
The results show that the pollen frequently has been filtered out of products labeled "honey."
The removal of these microscopic particles from deep within a flower would make the nectar flunk the quality standards set by most of the world's food safety agencies.
The food safety divisions of the World Health Organization, the European Commission and dozens of others also have ruled that without pollen there is no way to determine whether the honey came from legitimate and safe sources.

Industry-Wide Use of Meat Glue Sticks Together Scraps of Meat To Sell You Prime Cuts
Did you know your meats contain meat glue? Just one more way food producers can sell more, while lowering the quality of what you consume. If it’s so harmless and miraculous, why didn’t we know about it before? It’s not on labels because technically it is not part of formulation of the product. That’s a giant stretch. It is not harmless…and yes, you are actually ingesting it all the time!
It creates a type of franken-meat in that it allows butchers to use the undetectable glue to piece together scraps of meat into a seamless full meat cut. England banned use of Thrombin coagulant last year. They found it mislead consumers to think they are getting a prime cut for their money, and also the original glue was made from cow and pig blood, something they didn’t think was wise in restaurant meats.
When multiple pieces are globbed together, bacteria have a better chance of growth. “If there is a bacteria outbreak, it’s much harder to figure out the source when chunks of meat from multiple cows were combined,” said Keith Warriner who teaches food science at University of Guelph.
The EU recently brought back the use of the new glue, Thrombian, or Transglutaminase, right along with Australia, Canada and the US. The FDA, of course, deems it GRAS (generally recognized as safe). The meat preparers in the video below need to wear masks when using it because, “It’s dangerous s—.”
It’s hush-hush because meat preparers are afraid to lose their suppliers and customers. The next time you buy natural and organic meat, it wouldn’t hurt to ask about its use.
